It is unclear whether these issues led to Sebastian Gerlach, founding guitarist and one of the two main songwriters, leaving the band in the spring of 2024. But he&#8217;s back with a new deadly project, so this is germane. <strong>turn off<\/strong>and debut album, <em>dead end life<\/em>. Although Gerlach admits it was difficult to be away from her &#8220;baby,&#8221; <strong>turn off<\/strong> It offers him the opportunity to reunite with &#8220;the same forces that have always defined his relationship with metal: emotional truth, atmospheric depth, and the ability to turn darkness into sound.&#8221; Now all you have to do is decide: <strong>turn off<\/strong>and more importantly, <em>dead end life<\/em>there is a future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">above <em>dead end life<\/em>, <strong>turn off<\/strong> It draws from the same well of desolation and darkness. <strong>black december<\/strong> It&#8217;s been plumbed for years. Add a considerable amount <strong>dying bride<\/strong> What can you feel when you join the mix? <strong>turn off<\/strong> It&#8217;s about. From skins to strings, Gerlach handles everything with flying colors. <em>dead end life<\/em>fulfills his responsibility as an instrument and also provides his own death growl. Here&#8217;s a satisfying mix of Michael Ackerfeld and Lars Dotzauer. The tracks follow a tried-and-true formula, bouncing between faster-paced, chugging melodies (\u201cYour Hate,\u201d \u201cThe Sea\u201d) and slower-paced, melancholy doom (\u201c\u201d).[7]And while the addition of clean vocals is by no means groundbreaking, non-metal newcomer Enrico Langs&#8217; crisp prog-poppy tone is eerily reminiscent of Tim Charles (<strong>don&#8217;t forget<\/strong>)\u2014refreshing and bright, it serves as a dynamic counterpoint to Gerlach&#8217;s brashness. Album opener &#8220;Your Hate&#8221; sets the tone, with its heavy, angry riffs, sharp leads, and driving drum beats employed to tell the story of an abused child who grows up to care for an abused parent, with Gerlach belting out the lyrics, &#8220;Every time your hand rises, time blurs inside me, I&#8217;m a child who endures it,&#8221; before imploring, &#8220;When do you stop, when do you stop living?&#8221; This anguish segues into another anguish as a beautiful piano intro to \u201c.\u201d[7]&#8221;Introducing Marianne Bachmeyer&#8217;s heartbreaking story. In fact, as the last notes of &#8220;Last Request&#8221; faded from the speakers, I found myself wanting to listen to another song and settling in to start instead. <em>dead end life<\/em> Also. Produced by Gerlach, yes, he produced it. <em>dead end life<\/em> It&#8217;s warm and enveloping, leaving me with little room to complain. If I had to guess, I&#8217;d say it had the least connection to the blast beat of &#8216;The Sea&#8217;, which rampages beneath the slow-paced guitars and vocals, but to be honest, that&#8217;s a minor quibble. I wish I had MOAR!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>turn off<\/strong> We will deliver a heartfelt experience with <em>dead end life<\/em>full of emotional and musical heaviness, heightened by the back-and-forth vocal trade-offs of Gerlach and Langus. I can&#8217;t be bossy, but <strong>black december<\/strong>I can absolutely say that the future is without Sebastian Gerlach. <strong>turn off<\/strong>Despite a recipe peddled in the dark, the future looks bright.
