CinemaCon 2026 was set to take place, and it was timeless. For four straight days, nearly every movie studio in Hollywood introduced upcoming films to theater owners. Theater owners who have seen all the presentations are likely to have a very good year. There are a lot of great looking movies coming out over the next 12 months or so. Below, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite films that were shown at the convention.<\/p>\n original space ball<\/em> ‘ is one of my favorite movies, so being able to see the first footage of the sequel, which took 40 years to make, was a very special experience. That obviously seems crazy, but making it wait another year is evil. Click here for details.<\/p>\n One of our most anticipated films of all time, this movie did not disappoint, with a great selection of footage that showcases a much larger scale and more emotional film than its two predecessors. Click here for details.<\/p>\n Everyone has seen the trailer, Denis Villeneuve showed off the opening of the movie at CinemaCon. Not ready. it’s science fiction Save Private Ryan<\/em> The Fremen fall onto a new planet and are eviscerated by a killer laser. Click here for details.<\/p>\n Marvel Studios is Avengers: Doomsda<\/em>Yes, and it did not disappoint. We still don’t know what’s going on, but it was pretty epic to see Shang-Chi fight Gambit and Thor fight Doctor Doom. Click here for details.<\/p>\n This wasn’t on our radar at all, but it’s now one of the movies we’re most looking forward to. brian duffield (No one can save you)<\/em> Director Austin Abrams (weapons)<\/em> In a movie about a diver swallowed by a whale. The images were intense as hell. think jaws<\/em>but underwater. It’ll come out in October.<\/p>\n All Steven Spielberg movies are worth getting excited about, but new footage Information release date<\/em> Somehow we were even more excited about the Master’s return to sci-fi. Click here for more information.<\/p>\n Henry Cavill is still filming a new movie highlander<\/em> But that didn’t stop him from appearing in a cool behind-the-scenes hot reel at CinemaCon. The neon made it look exciting, huge, and very heavy. john wick<\/em> Directed by Chad Stahelski. That is expected to be in late 2027.<\/p>\n The first ever English-language film was not widely seen. godzilla minus one<\/em> The director is Takashi Yamazaki, and we were excited by the little production we saw. He’s making a movie about giant robots fighting. Need I say more? Learn more. <\/p>\n The third DC movie from the James Gunn regime is unlike anything we’ve seen before. And we can safely say that, as we’ve seen a legitimately unsettling, but in a wonderful way, little preview of its October release. Click here for details.<\/p>\n There wasn’t much in Focus Features for Robert Eggers’ new film, but what we saw was exactly what we wanted. dark. scared. nice. And a quick look at Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s transformation into a werewolf. Oh, I’m sorry. “Wellwolf” will be released this Christmas.<\/p>\n from the first video resident evil<\/em> Not at all what you would expect resident evil.<\/em> Still, it was scary, gory, and had lots of little nods to the game. So with Zach Creger at the helm, our expectations are incredibly high. Click here for details.<\/p>\n The film adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s hit novel starring Gina Prince-Bythewood looked like nothing I’d ever seen before. it’s a kind of aesthetic black panther<\/em> was infused with the magic of harry potter<\/em> and its range and living things Lord of the Rings.<\/em> But also, it hasn’t been fully captured yet. We can’t wait for the full version to be released in January 2027.<\/p>\n There’s another thing that came out of nowhere. Jessica Chastain plays a mother whose family is threatened by evil spirits. The evil spirit appears like her. Therefore, the family cannot know if it is really Mom or the killer. Blumhouse and director Rob Savage’s film is a highly anticipated film. It will be released on October 9th.<\/p>\n we love the first violent night<\/em>So seeing David Harbor come back in a Santa costume was exciting enough. It was even better to see him get put on the naughty list and have to fight in the mall to save Christmas alongside Mrs. Claus, played by Kristen Bell. It will be released on December 4th.<\/p>\n I didn’t know anything about it before, but now I can’t wait. Neon is a South Korean science fiction action film about an extraterrestrial invasion that will be screened at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. Two of the aliens are played by Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander. What images have given us is It: Welcome to Delhi<\/em> It’s atmospheric, but with more action and alien monsters.<\/p>\n Director J. J. Abrams has unveiled the first trailer for his new movie starring Glen Powell, Jenna Ortega, and Samuel L. Jackson, and while there’s plenty of action and quirky scenes, we still don’t know exactly what it’s all about. But we’re very, very excited to find out. It’s coming on November 13th.<\/p>\n These were our favorites, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I also saw footage from. The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Godzilla Minus Zero, Supergirl, Mortal Kombat II, Masters of the Universe, Street Fighter, Scary Movie, Toy Story 5, The Mandalorian, Grogu,<\/em> And so on. Well, it’s going to be a great year.<\/p>\n Lastly, even though these aren’t io9 movies, I had to give a shout out to three movies that 100% would have made this list if they had aliens or monsters in them.
