Have you ever been listening to a song you’ve heard hundreds of times and suddenly noticed that the singer is saying the band’s name in the lyrics? It might have been a quick shoutout during the breakdown or before a solo, or maybe they’ve used their nickname in the text as part of the song’s storytelling.<\/p>\n

It may sound a little corny on paper, but when done right, it can feel bold, interesting, and even iconic. Either way, it’s definitely a memorable experience.<\/p>\n

We’ve put together a list of songs that include the band’s name in some form in the lyrics. Some of these were easy to do, while others were lesser known or explored songs that took a little more time to find.<\/p>\n

Some of the artists below have referenced themselves in numerous songs (we’re looking at you, Limp Bizkit). So, to avoid repeating the same artist over and over again, I only used one track…and some of them I repeated over and over again.<\/p>\n
