Will Dr. Al Hashimi return?<\/h3>\n

The season ended with Robbie giving Al Hashimi an ultimatum. \u201cEither you tell the administration about your diagnosis, or I will.\u201d So what does that mean for this character? Will we see her again in season 3? “What I can say for sure is that I don’t know anything,” Moafi said on the show. today<\/em> show. “I think the plan is to bring me back.”<\/p>\n

Showrunner R. Scott Gemmill confirmed in an interview with TV Line that her character’s arc will be addressed in the medical drama’s third season. “We’ve seen these characters struggle with their mental health, but we’ve never really seen them deal with physical issues like this that can derail their careers,” he said. “In Balan’s case, it’s the classic ‘Doctor, please heal me’ question. What kind of patient will she be? Is she in denial about what she’s going through? It certainly seems like she’s pushed herself to the limit, but now she’s faced with the reality of whether or not she can continue practicing medicine. It’s a very interesting situation, and one that we’ll continue to explore in Season 3.”<\/p>\n

Yes, he takes a vacation. No, he won’t raise the baby. Whether he gets the help he needs is a more complicated issue. Season 3 picks up four months later, with Robbie’s mental state still up in the air.<\/p>\n

“Obviously he’s in a very bad situation and we should be worried about him. I<\/em> I’m worried about him, you know? He needs to take steps to improve, but he hasn’t done so yet. “Until he does, things are only going to get worse,” Gemmill told Gold Derby. “In Season 3, we’re going to find out more about what’s going to happen with Robbie. We start to uncover what Robbie’s backstory has been, and it hasn’t always been fun.” He has his own demons that he’s never really dealt with before. \u201d<\/p>\n

“It’s part of the process,” Gemmill explained to Gold Derby. “It’s a bit of a revolving door in the hospital, and to maintain some level of authenticity, certain people leave and others arrive. So new people come in, new people leave, older people leave. And that helps keep the show fresh and keeps the audience on their toes. Also, It also eliminates the false sense of danger that some shows have. This doesn’t happen because you know you’re not going to eliminate that character. With split-second notice and the unexpected, you don’t know what’s going to happen. \u201d<\/p>\n

What was cut from the final episode?<\/h3>\n

Several moments didn’t make it into the final version that hit screens Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Al Hashimi’s car breakdown was an emotional moment in the finale, but Moafi told Gold Derby that a key moment in which she claimed to have had car trouble and called her ex-husband to ask him to watch over their son had been cut. “That gesture, the way he offered himself, that kindness in that moment, is exactly what she needs in this moment,” she says. “That’s when she started to break down. And she quickly hung up the phone with him so he couldn’t hear, and then she broke down. But I think that moment also taught me a lot about where she was and that she needed to be alone right now, because not only did this trigger the trauma of her own life in this condition, but it was also the trigger that triggered her trust relationship.”<\/p>\n

Moafi told Gold Derby that there was also a line in which Robbie joked, “I’m sorry, you’ve had a really bad day” after Dr. Al Hashimi reveals the diagnosis. She replied: “So do we, right?” “I love that moment. I love that interaction because he was right,” Moafi said. “He had a really bad day, and so did she, and we’ve seen horrible, horrible experiences all day. It’s a reminder to all of us that there’s always something going on. I love that part.” the pit<\/em> It means humanizing all our struggles, all our bad deeds, and all our judgments. It deconstructs it and humanizes it. \u201d<\/p>\n

Even nurse Dana Evans (Katherine LaNasa) was faced with a moment left on the cutting room floor, another scene where she confronts Robbie. “The only thing that was different was that we shifted. I said to him, ‘There’s nothing out there. What are you looking for there? What are you going to find? ‘What are you going to do?'” she told Gold Derby. But I didn’t really feel like it was necessary because a lot of the characters say that, and it happened a lot with me and Noah. As a viewer, I was very satisfied. [without] that. It didn’t bother me that it was cut. I felt like it was a perfect episode in a way.\u201d<\/p>\n

“There will be some new faces. \u201cEvery time a new face comes in, things change,\u201d Gemmill says. “Not all of them continue to work the night shift. Some can, but it’s not recommended. It’s taxing on the doctors, so they’re usually replaced. It felt like an idea to grab one of the night-shift doctors who works the day shift and replace them, just to change things up.”<\/p>\n

Season 2 sees Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball) go through the process of recovery, making amends, and insisting on sobriety, but he is also subject to a drug test. \u201cI was reminded over and over again that half of the doctors who treat people for substance abuse relapse, and I was reminded over and over again that relapse is part of the addiction journey,\u201d Ball told Gold Derby. “You never know what’s going to happen. … It’s nice to know exactly where the plane is going, but that doesn’t mean it’s definitely going to be comfortable.”<\/p>\n

Will Whittaker actually end up living in Robbie’s house?<\/h3>\n

Despite the unresponsiveness of his roommate Trinity Santos (Isa Briones) and the need for help from widow Amy Miller (Bailey Gavrick), Jalan Howell (Dennis Whitaker) thinks he will eventually move into the bachelorette room in the lobby. \u201cIt\u2019s a tough offer to turn down,\u201d Howell tells Gold Derby. “I think there’s a part of Whittaker that feels maybe he’s just getting carried away.” [Santos\u2019] I’m nervous, so maybe that’s for the best. …I think whatever he does, it’s going to be tough. \u201d<\/p>\n

Naturally, Hatosy has his own predictions. “Let’s start with Robbie’s bachelor pad,” he told Gold Derby of his hopes for Season 3. “Whitaker is there and they’re putting together a crib. They’ve adopted the baby, so it’s going to be Whittaker, Robbie and the baby. …And Abbott is outside doing nude yoga.”<\/p>\n

The last time we see Whittaker’s badge, it’s the one worn by a freshly cleaned John Digby (Charles Baker) as he heads off into the night. Will my ID be returned? “<\/strong>Everything will become clear,\u201d Howell promises Gold Derby. I hope that makes people happy. That was a really big mystery. I’ve seen people try to catch where it happened in the show. I don’t think anyone has captured the real moment yet, which is kind of cool. There was a moment where it went off, so I think I choreographed it and filmed the scene where it went off, but I couldn’t maintain it. But the official moment was when I met Natalie. \u201d<\/p>\n
