Euphoria fans are calling for the highly anticipated show to be canceled completely after the first two episodes left viewers stunned.<\/p>\n

HBO’s hit show sparked a wave of backlash as fans labeled the first two episodes of season three shocking and “disturbing.”<\/p>\n

“Euphoria should have been cancelled, and I’m tired of watching Sam Levinson turn the girls into worthless whores every episode, but I’m tired of cramming this awful show down by saying I hate women,” user wrote on X.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I think they are [sic] Another user wrote, “I didn’t know what to do with the euphoria and that’s why the plot got lost so much. This had so much potential and so many different storylines to dive into to keep the story true to the various struggles of a teenager.” Now it’s just a fetish SLOP. \u201d<\/p>\n

For the second week in a row, fans were particularly focused on Sidney Sweeney’s storyline. Sweeney plays Cassie Howard, and the main focus is on the character’s desire to start an OnlyFans account to pay for the lavish wedding she is planning with fianc\u00e9 Nate Jacobs, played by Jacob Elordi.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no words for Sydney, this scene is [is] It\u2019s actually awful,\u201d one user wrote about a scene in OnlyFans content where Sweeney\u2019s character poses as an \u201cadult baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox News Digital has reached out to HBO for comment.<\/p>\n

Last week, users were quick to claim that the show’s creators had “humiliated” Sweeney with an OnlyFans storyline.<\/p>\n

One user wrote, “Sidney Sweeney in season 3 is literally just humiliating her. I don’t understand why this isn’t the point, her role is basically just humiliating her. She’s not going to win any awards like that.” on X<\/u>before viewing future scenes. \u201cWhy are they dressing her like a baby and pretending to be a baby with a pacifier?\u201d<\/p>\n

“I thought it was AI but it was real, what did they do to Sidney Sweeney in the third season of Euphoria?” another said. added<\/u>.<\/p>\n

“The way the director sexualizes the girls on this show is very disturbing to me and that’s one of the main reasons why I will never watch ‘Euphoria,'” another wrote.<\/p>\n

Some defended Sweeney, noting that the show had always been risqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n

“Girl, that’s called acting,” one commenter wrote in response to a user who called it a humiliation ritual. “It’s always a wild, free-spirited show, and Sydney plays difficult roles. If that had been too much for her, she wouldn’t have signed on. People seem to be shocked, as if they’ve never seen ‘Euphoria’ (laughs).”<\/p>\n

One user admitted that all the backlash may do little to damage the show’s popularity.<\/p>\n

“The sad thing about Euphoria is that no matter how much trashy fantasy Sam Levinson injects into the show, we’re all going to keep watching it. As long as the ratings are good, HBO won’t give it a FK,” the user wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cEuphoria,\u201d which first aired in 2019, stars Sweeney, Elordi, and zendaya<\/u>.<\/p>\n

This dark suburban teen drama also stars more notable names like Colman Domingo, who has been nominated for the Best Actor Oscar twice in recent years, and the late Eric Dane. Other actors such as Hunter Schaefer, Alexa Demme, Maud Apatow, and Barbie Ferreira also gained attention and recognition. Angus Cloud<\/u>was one of the breakout performers, but passed away in 2023.<\/p>\n
