Fans are just being fans without any real way (or ability) to back up their claims.<\/p>\n<p>Unless, of course, that fan is <em>That show from the 70&#8217;s<\/em>&#8216;s Topher Grace made a huge splash in 2012 by actually showing what most people weren&#8217;t trying to pull off. He recut 85 minutes. <em>star wars<\/em> First part. <\/p>\n<p>Topher Grace re-edited George Lucas&#8217; three prequel films (418 minutes total) into one coherent feature film. Gone are all the pod races, unnecessary exposition, and cluttered, obnoxious CGI characters. <em>Star Wars Episode I \u2013 The Phantom Menace<\/em>. Instead, Grace begins the movie with the end of that movie: the final showdown between Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Darth Maul.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s funny to think that most are <em>phantom menace <\/em>It can be effectively eliminated without causing any real disruption to the overall story. They mainly concern the relationship between Anakin and Padm\u00e9 and Obi-Wan&#8217;s search for someone plotting to assassinate a politician. <\/p>\n<p>Scenes that were removed from Lucas&#8217; film, such as the scene where Padme takes Anakin home to meet his family, have been brought back to shed light on the characters and their relationships. True fans already understand the depth of the pain here. There was no need to hammer it home in such an obvious (and kind of stupid) way.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, it is not without its drawbacks. Cutting over 300 minutes from the series leaves some holes and things move at a pace that may feel strange to those who know the original. But according to the few people who have been allowed to see it so far, Grace&#8217;s film is thematically tight, action-packed and fun.<\/p>\n<p>Topher Grace&#8217;s cut, first completed in 2012, continued to inspire others to take on Star Wars editing jobs in the years that followed. Disney would never allow it.<\/p>\n<p>Topher Grace says he has no plans to hold any more public screenings or distribute the film, even though thousands of Star Wars fans would jump at the chance to see the prequel without Jar Jar Binks.
