ABC’s Will Trent shocked viewers last week when it revealed that Amanda Wagner was killed while tracking James Ulster’s daughter Adelaide Clemens. Tuesday’s follow-up, directed by series star Ramon Rodriguez, only deepened the wound, bringing back Sonya Thorne to portray the gruesome scene in which a GBI deputy chief stabs one of Adelaide’s acolytes.<\/p>\n
When the authorities arrive on the scene, time accelerates even further, and ambient sounds are momentarily muffled, reflecting what can only be Special Agent Trent’s tinnitus. Faith arrived in a similarly shattered state, along with Angie, Ormwood, Franklin, and Captain Heller. Angie has the unfortunate task of telling Will that he needs to step aside and let the technicians do their job. But Will insisted on closing the body bag himself.<\/p>\n
(If you were shocked enough to cry at the end of the previous hour, it’ll be hard to avoid tears at this point.) Rodriguez, a three-time Best Actor of the Week winner, somehow made the opening moments of the crime scene feel all the pang of grief, even though Will’s emotions were mostly suppressed.Next, at GBI headquarters, Will continued to prove that he is one of the best actors on television, even in the scene where he confronts Deputy Director Appleyard and says that he was not there to pay his respects, but to move into Amanda’s office (Faith’s mother Evelyn says her final goodbyes at the morgue).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Adelaide Falls, Antonio is saved…but sadness remains<\/h2>\n
The GBI and APD team up to arrest Adelaide’s disciples – at least the ones who aren’t already dead – and learn that she is after a secret trust that was liquidated before Ulster’s escape. She had also persuaded Mr Ulster’s ex-fianc\u00e9e Janice to reveal the location of the money – where Will met Adelaide in Tuesday’s episode. So she gave him an ultimatum. If he agrees to commit suicide, he says he will let his uncle Antonio live. If he tried to capture her, she would commit suicide and he would not be able to arrive in time to save Antonio. She tried to run away, but Faith cornered her. As she appeared to kneel to surrender, Will noticed a gun hidden in her shoe and fired two shots into her chest from behind. Fortunately, Adelaide had shown Will live surveillance footage of Antonio (including the sounds of passing trains), and Will and Angie were able to narrow down their list of possible locations to an abandoned railroad yard, where Will narrowly rescued his uncle.<\/p>\n
Amanda’s funeral was then held at Kay’s slaughterhouse. Faith’s son Jeremy flew in for the memorial service, and Heller, Evelyn and Faith all paid their respects. But Will didn’t feel like participating. As his time drew to a close, he sat in Amanda’s office and stared at the photo of the woman who shaped him into the man he is today. He pressed record on his tape recorder and tried to speak, but was completely speechless.<\/p>\n
