[Ed. note:<\/strong> Full spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again <\/em>season 2 episode 6 below.]<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jessica Jones is back.<\/p>\n Daredevil: Born Again<\/em> Season 2, Episode 6, “Requiem” begins in a quaint house in the suburbs. A little girl is seen playing by herself while her barely visible mother is off-screen. Suddenly, several men in riot gear – Mayor Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF) – burst into the house, only for the still-unseen mother to defeat them all. A grenade is also thrown into the house, and the girl picks it up and looks at it. After the AVTF agents are defeated, the mother is revealed to be none other than Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), who takes the grenade from the girl, warns her that it is not a toy, and throws it away.<\/p>\n This is the first time Ritter has appeared as Jessica Jones since 2019, but it seems like quite a bit has happened since then.<\/p>\n The last time we saw Jessica was during her series finale. Netflix<\/em> show. After struggling to deal with his best friend Trish (Rachel Taylor), who has become a supervillain, Jones finally arrests her and Trish is locked up in an underwater super prison known as the Raft. Afterwards, Jessica leaves New York for Mexico, intending to retire from superhero activities, but at the last minute she has second thoughts and decides to stay. She had previously handed over the keys to her private eye care company, Alias \u200b\u200bInvestments, to her former assistant Malcolm (Eka Darvill), but it was not revealed in the finale whether she would return there.<\/p>\n Shortly thereafter, avengers\/infinity war<\/em> happened. We don’t know if Jessica was blown away by Thanos, but it doesn’t seem relevant at this point.<\/p>\n What we do know is that Jessica has children. Daniel Cage is the daughter of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, just like in the comic books. In the end, that character <\/em>She has both her mother’s superpowers and her father’s invulnerability, which makes her Captain America in the comics, but even if that is the future for this version of the character, she still has a ways to go.<\/p>\n Luke Cage (Mike Colter) does not appear in the episode, but when Jessica later meets Daredevil (Charlie Cox) in the city, she tells him that Luke is working for shady people. This probably refers to the time when he operated Harlem’s Paradise, a nightclub founded at the end of the 19th century. luke cage<\/em> Season 2 ended a while ago. We also know that Cage will be back. Daredevil: Born Again<\/em> Although he returned for season 3 thanks to recent set photos, his return for this season has not yet been confirmed.<\/p>\n As for Jessica, she seems to keep in touch with Daredevil despite moving to the suburbs, and seems well aware that Daredevil is leading the resistance against Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio). With the death of Fisk’s wife in the last episode, Kingpin seems to want to focus his efforts on anti-vigilante efforts, which explains why his task force attacked her home (despite seemingly being outside the Mayor’s jurisdiction).<\/p>\n Danielle appears to be around elementary school age, so it’s possible that Jessica has been living out of town for a few years to keep her daughter away from danger (especially if she’s raising the child on her own while Luke is busy with other things). But her daughter may not be the only reason Jessica has settled down. She also states to Daredevil that her powers are in Fritz.<\/p>\n Still, her psychic powers are reliable enough for her and Daredevil to take on some AVTF agents in a warehouse and destroy a large amount of military weapons hidden there by Fisk. Although the fight scene is short, it’s pretty awesome to see the two fighting side by side in live action for the first time in seven years.<\/p>\n We know Jessica Jones will be back next season along with Luke Cage and Iron Fist, but it’s unclear if we’ll ever see her again. Daredevil: Born Again<\/em> Season 2. Apparently, Jessica wants to stay out of the war that is clearly going on in the streets of New York.
