It’s a wildly danceable cocktail of fat, groovy metal, dancehall flavor, Benji Webb on the mic in a big bouffant hat, and the whole band having a great time on the streets of London. Frankly, you have to work hard not to like them. Heavy music is a weirder, louder, more fun place when they’re in it.

Welsh rockers King Kraken go all out with their first new single since last year’s album procession of the godsinspired by H.G. Wells’ timeless science fiction epic. space war. Tighter, punchier, groovier, it finds them elevating the stony beefcake ingredients of their early days into their most commanding track yet (the flashy guitar solo in the middle feels like it belongs on a slightly different song, but it’s still Good Stuff, so you can ignore that). If you pile up more than this, they’ll laugh.

The latest taste of Des Rocs’ new album, which instills a sense of calm, resilience, and even triumph in the dark times we all face. to hell and back A high and strong punch. Main man Henry Gottelier has made a name for himself as a classic rock cover singer, so it’s easy to imagine him confidently singing the likes of Paul Rodgers and Steven Tyler. Marisa & the Moth – Nothing is getting better
Marisa Rodriguez and her friends turn a bag of lemons into spicy-sweet lemonade in this peppy, melodic hard rock song about the shortcomings of women’s medicine. But no matter who you are, this is an ode to humor and hope in the face of low points. “Actually, when I wrote this song acoustically, it sounded really sad,” says singer and guitarist Marisa, who wrote the song against the backdrop of ongoing obstacles to proper endometriosis treatment. “But by turning the song into this upbeat emo anthem, we created a real sense of rebellion and turned that pain into something powerful that others can relate to.”

Jared serenades OAPs, gives spin classes, hangs out at the laundromat, eats hot sandwiches, and sneaks in a bit of Liquid Death product placement in the name of this galloping, confident bluesy rock ‘n’ roller co-written with Tuck Smith. No wonder he has to sit through a rather bizarre and drawn-out final scene with booze and candles. charlie’s angelsa hair dryer, some kind of lotion… Want to know what’s going on there? Probably not. The song is a banger though. his new album, Louder than Fate‘ will be released in June.

Gnome – Magic Man
Melbourne garage rockers The Norms return with a video that shows they’re similar to what they were then. matchstick man photo But it sounds like a frenetic, high-octane version of the status quo back then. paper airplane. The video was filmed on The You Youngs, a series of granite ridges on the Werribee Plains 50 kilometers south-west of Melbourne, and stars a local studio owner in the title role. “He was coming off a big bender at the time,” frontman Jay Miller says. “It was the perfect atmosphere. He hit it.” It’s more fun than Clown University’s orientation week.
