Jimmy Kimmel ignores Eric Swalwell’s resignation after saying it’s ‘shameful’ to avoid political topics

Jimmy Kimmel is ostensibly supposed to be a “comedian.” That said, it’s debatable whether Kimmel has ever said anything in his decades-long career that even comes close to being a joke or even considered funny.

Somehow, through the incompetence of studio executives, he was still put in charge of the nightly TV show. The big-budget show started out as an attempt to at least make people laugh. Over time, Kimmel has become less and less liberal, more extreme, and turned into something completely different.

Instead of clever humor, writing, and comedy, it’s effectively a far-left MSNBC show that’s even less funny and interesting.

Kimmel has come under fire in recent months for his show, which is relentlessly unfunny, extreme and painful to watch. Especially after he appeared to blame the assassination of Charlie Kirk on the right, even though his alleged killer was definitely not right-wing.

Still, if Mr. Kimmel regularly attacks both sides, whether he will turn to left-wing politics will be a different question. But in a recent interview with Michelle Obama, he displayed a proud defiance of rationality, accidentally revealing himself to be a tremendous hypocrite in the process.

Jimmy Kimmel remains silent about Eric Swalwell for some reason

During the interview, President Obama praised the decision to turn his comedy show into a political lecture, calling it a courageous and important decision. Kimmel, always happy to pat himself on the back, agreed.

“It seems natural and inevitable. I can’t imagine talking about anything other than what we’re talking about on a night like that,” he said.

He went on to say that he believes it is “embarrassing” and “shameful” not to address what’s going on in the world. In short, criticize the Trump administration.

“I think it would be embarrassing if I didn’t talk about it. It’s embarrassing. And when you say, ‘Well, this is your job,’ I…I get mad about that, because number one, don’t tell me what my job is. My job is whatever I decide it is and whatever my employer allows me to be. That’s my job.”

Now, speaking of embarrassing and shameful things, one of the big stories going around the world these days is the series of accusations of inappropriate behavior against former California Congressman Eric Swalwell. Swalwell, who was so close to Kimmel that he decided to announce his candidacy for governor on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” has been accused of cheating on women for years. After abstaining from the gubernatorial election, he resigned from the assembly.

Sounds like a pretty big story, right? You mean, “What’s going on in the world?”

With so many opportunities available, who would completely ignore a reference to Swalwell’s scandal on his show about “what’s going on” in the world? Yes, this is our old friend Jimmy. conscience determined by the people themselves. A comedian who sees it as his job to keep us informed about the political situation and, as Michelle Obama said, speaks “truth to power.”

One of the most powerful people in Congress and a top candidate to lead the nation’s largest state, he has been accused of years of inappropriate behavior, which Kimmel has chosen to ignore entirely. I wonder why!

One wonders how he would react if a Republican lawmaker were accused of similar charges.

Obviously we know exactly what he will do. In fact, he has spent much of the past six to nine months talking about the Epstein files, even though many of those emails are far less reliable than the allegations against Swalwell. He campaigned relentlessly every night to criticize the politician, criticize the right, and demand accountability and “believe all women.”

When it comes to his closest allies and key parts of the No Kings resistance remaining? Complete silence. If that seems hypocritical, it’s because it is very hypocritical. But that makes sense for Kimmel and many prominent left-wing voices. Swalwell himself was their leader. This is why Kimmel’s influence declined rapidly over time. Because he’s not a serious person. He is a hypocrite and would never do anything to hurt his party. That is his real conscience, his real goal, not to entertain or make people laugh, but to advance the cause of the left by any means necessary. And he is willing to be as dishonest and misleading as necessary to achieve that.
